Student Loans


TYPES OF STAFFORD LOANS:


Subsidized Stafford Loan- the Government pays your interest while you are in school. Payments begin 6 months after you complete school.

 

Unsubsidized Stafford Loan- you begin to accrue interest the day the money is disbursed to the school. Payments begin 6 months after you complete school.

 

All students receiving financial aid must acheive satisfactory progress, (90% attendance and 70% academic averages). More information on types of financial aid is available through the Financial Aid Overview Page.

 

Stafford Loan Application

a. Complete the FAFSA application
b. Contact the Financial Aid officer and receive the
Financial Aid Award Notification.
Tell the Financial Aid Office how much you would like
to borrow. Remember you will have to pay
everything back with interest!
Choice 1: tuition only
Choice 2: tuition plus living expenses.
c. Go to www.studentloans.gov
Complete:
1. Entrance Counseling
2. Master Promissory Note (MPN)
(you will need your pin number and 2 names, addresses, and phone numbers of people not living with you)
