Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) is traininig for those workers displaced by foreign trade or trade-affected workers who have lost their jobs as a result of increased imports or shifts in production out of the United States. Your past employer had to apply for TAA benefits in order to qualify for this financial assistance.

If you have TAA benefits, it usually takes 45 days to have your training approved. If approved, you will receive notification and instructions on how to proceed using these benefits.
